This Sunday: Zoom service

Join us on Zoom this Sunday at 10 am. Roy Gesley will be the preacher, talking about “Reynard the Fox,” in our on-going series on old stories. Don’t forget to set your clocks back on Saturday night. Worship & Arts will meet after the service.

Remembering Lois Brock

Lois passed away last week, with her children Stephen, Susan, and Barbara at her bedside. Lois and her husband Jerry were charter members of College Heights back in the early '60s. They were active in every facet of the church’s life. Lois taught first grade in San Mateo schools for many years. A life celebration for Lois will be held on Dec 10 at CHC, with time still to be determined.

Pastor search survey

The pastor search committee heartily encourages members and friends to fill out this survey about what we are looking for in a future pastoral leader. Women's group will gather in person monthly

At a great gathering last Sunday over lunch, we decided to meet in person for lunch after worship once a month, with rotating hosts. The next time will be Sun, Dec 4 from 12–2 pm. Karen Conklin will provide a main dish and origami paper for making ornaments. Open to all women in the church.

Contemplative pairs: Nov 19

Roy Gesley is offering the opportunity to engage in Contemplative Pairs on Sat, Nov 19 at the church from 11 am–3 pm. This is a method of spiritual inquiry that involves no belief system, and uses meeting in pairs safely and respectfully. More info here, including a description of the day and a link to a documentary showing the practice.
