Dear Beloved Community,

This Sunday we’ll sit with one of Jesus’ simplest—and most life-changing—questions: “What are you looking for?” (John 1:29–42). Two weeks into a new year, we’ll reflect on what we’re truly seeking right now, especially in light of the grief, change, and questions many of us carry. How have our longings shifted over time? What do our answers reveal about the direction of our lives?

In the sermon, we’ll explore how Jesus doesn’t rush to give easy answers, but instead invites us into something deeper: honesty, vulnerability, and the courage to name what matters most. And whatever it is you’re looking for, healing, hope, clarity, reconciliation, justice, Jesus’ response is the same: “Come and see.” Come expecting a message that is tender and hopeful with room to listen for what God may be inviting in your life right now.

See you Sunday!

Peace and blessings!

-Jorge

P. S. January's Giving Sunday collection is for Abundant Grace Coastside Worker, helping the less fortunate on the coast. Their director and visionary, Eric DeBode, has been our guest preacher many times. Thanks for always being so generous with your gifts.

On the first Sunday of the month (the "Giving Sunday"), the whole plate goes to the designated nonprofit. Any other time during the month you can contribute by way of a check with the name of the nonprofit in the memo line.
