Join us online every Sunday
We'd love for you to join us this Sunday at 10 am Pacific time. For security, we don't publish the link for our gatherings. Please email email@example.com and we'll immediately send the link.
This Sun, Jun 28: Ranya Anabtawi is College Heights' longtime yoga partner, and she'll be speaking about empathy. On her website, she writes that "yoga is the discipline of an intentional, ever-unfolding, and always observing practice of being in the world. The lessons on the mat reveal how the body moves, where the mind wanders, or what the spirit intuits providing a glimpse into one's personal truth."
Discussion group for new (and old!) members
Our discussion group for new members (that everyone is invited to!) has moved to Wednesdays at 7 pm, every other week starting June 24. The next topic is Early Christianities, looking at three specific non-Biblical writings: the Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Mary, and the Didache.
UCC response to recent events
Rev. Polly writes: "I was asked recently about our denomination’s response to everything that’s been happening lately, so I went to our national website looking for a statement. Right on the home page is a commentary from Rev. Dr. John Dorhauer, the president of the UCC, that is worth taking the time to listen to. It made me proud (again) to be part of this denomination."
