This Sun, Jan 19: Celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr.
Rev. Polly Moore will lead us in remembering Martin Luther King, Jr. as a disciple of both Jesus and Gandhi. We'll look at how his life reflected the Bible stories he knew so well.
The church council will meet after worship, around 11:15 am. All are welcome to attend.
Women's retreat: Jan 24–26
The College Heights women's group will be on retreat in Pacific Grove, CA from Fri Jan 24 through Sun, Jan 26. It's not too late to register! Email us for more information.
While the women are away, the men's group will gather at the church on Fri, Jan 24 from 5:30 to 9 pm for board games, pizza, and more. David W. writes: "I will bring two games (Chronology and Mexican Train Dominoes). Bring whatever you want to drink. Please let me know if you're coming."

Quote of the week
"The task of religion is not to turn us into proper believers; it is to deepen the personal within us, to embrace the power of life, to expand our consciousness, in order that we might see things that eyes do not normally see."
