This Sunday, August 6: In-person service at 10am
Caje Remedios is our guest preacher this week, and his chosen poet is Rumi. We use Rumi all the time at CHC and you may not even realize it...."May the beauty we love be what we do" or "Come, come whoever you are" are good examples. Rumi was a Persian Sufi, but his words are universal.
The Giving Sunday offering for August is for Our Church's Wider Mission (UCC), which provides basic support for churches, conferences and associations.

All-church potluck lunch on Sunday
The smorgy lives! Only at lunchtime instead of dinner. Sandwich makings and dessert will be provided, so bring a summer side dish to share.
Don't forget to wish George Conklin a happy birthday. At 92, he is our oldest founding member. (His hearing is going, so be sure to face him when you talk to him, and talk a little louder than usual.)
Instant Choir Aug 13
Calling all singers! We're re-instituting our pre-Covid version of church choir, called Instant Choir. One Sunday a month, we come early to rehearse and then we sing for that day's service. No auditions, all ability levels welcomed.
Mark your calendar for Sunday, Aug 13. Rehearsal at 8:45 am.
