This Sunday, Sept 3: In-person service at 10am

Happy Labor Day Weekend! This Sunday the men are in charge of worship since the Women's Group will be on retreat in Pacific Grove. It will be a creative morning that you won't want to miss if you're in town.


Zoom will NOT be available on Sunday. Sorry for the inconvenience.


The Giving Sunday offering for September is for Mission Hospice.

Prayers in the Park

The Peninsula Multifaith Coalition will continue their tradition of offering prayers for peace on Labor Day, Monday, Sept 4 at 10 am in Twin Pines Park in Belmont. Prayers will be offered by representatives of diverse faith traditions unifying our collective plea for peace.


Potluck to follow. Please bring your own drinks and a dish to share.

"Basic Bible Stories", continuing with the story of Moses. We got the Israelites through the Red Sea last time; now it's onward, slowly, to the Promised Land.

• Annual Belmont Greek Festival put on by the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Cross, Ralston & Alameda. Sat and Sun of Labor Day weekend, noon-10pm. Fabulous Greek food, dancing, tours of the church, all things Greek. Roast lamb and loukoumades (Greek doughnuts with honey and walnuts) are stand-outs!

• "Sogno di Volare" ("Dream of Flight") by Christopher Tin, lyrics by Leonardo da Vinci. On the program of Masterworks Chorale's fall concert, the last weekend of October.

• Online class on Romans from Homebrewed Christianity and J. R. Daniel Kirk. Starts in September.
