News for February 13, 2024

This Sunday, Feb 18: In-person service at 10am

Rev. Polly will be preaching this Sunday, on change and churches. Standing on the threshold of the next chapter in our church's life, this will be a chance to reflect on what we've accomplished in the six years of our "experiment" in do-it-yourself church.

The usual third-Sunday-of-the-month Council meeting is postponed until Feb 25.

The Giving Sunday offering for February is for Puente de la Costa Sur, offering services to the South Coast communities of Pescadero, La Honda, Loma Mar and San Gregorio. What began years ago with the Pescadero UCC church repairing bicycles for the farmworkers has grown into a center for all kinds of services, from ESL to community health. Their next big event is the upcoming Farmworker Convention in March.

Congratulations, Jorge!

On Sunday, Feb 11 the members of College Heights Church voted to call Rev. Jorge Bautista as our next pastor. All the voting members of the church were present, either in person or on Zoom, and the vote was unanimous! Jorge will start officially in a few weeks. Many thanks to the Search Committee for their long months of work on this project.
