This Sunday, April 21: In-person service at 10am
Rev. Jorge will be preaching this Sunday on John 10:11-18. Where he will share how Jesus goes out of his way, from the beginning of his life to the end, to show people he's not here to collect and just leave. How Jesus is not detached from the people.
This Sunday the Church Council will meet after worship.
Join us on Friday evening for our monthly service of chant, prayer and quiet. Doug Machiz and his cello will be there, and we’ll hear poetry by Denise Levertov, reflecting on the Velazquez painting “Servant Girl at Emmaus”. If you’re joining us remotely, the usual Zoom room will be open and the bulletin will be online.
The Giving Sunday offering for April is for the UCC's One Great Hour of Sharing. This is the global outreach fund that enables the UCC to help people around the world. Click on the link and watch the short video for an inspiring example.

Wed Discussion Group moves to Thursday
The Wednesday Discussion Group (we might need a new name) have moved to the second and fourth Thursdays, starting on April 11, 7pm on Zoom. We are discussing Marcus Borg's great introduction to the study of the historical Jesus, "Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time." This will be especially useful for our newer members, although everyone is invited. Even if you read the book the first time we did it, twenty years ago, you might enjoy seeing how your perspective has changed and what you have learned since then. Read Ch. 2 for the next meeting.
Upcoming services and events
• Taize this Friday at 7:30 pm
• Weds discussion group: Thurs, Apr 25 (7 pm) on Zoom. Continuing with Marcus Borg’s “Meeting Jesus Again for the First Time”, read Ch 2 for the next meeting.
• Worship & Arts: Sun, May 5 after worship. Come help us plan the summer worship calendar.
• Book Group: Sun, May 5th (7 pm), Zoom
Our next book will be "Tom Lake" by Anne Patchett.
