Dear Beloved Community,

Happy New Year!

I truly hope you had a wonderful New Year, and I’m grateful beyond words for this community, your love, your prayers, and your commitment to one another. Thank you for being a church that chooses connection, compassion, and justice. I’m honored to begin this new year with you.

This Sunday we’ll reflect on John’s Christmas proclamation: “The Word became flesh and lived among us.” We’ll explore our original blessing, the divine image in every person, and ask how God’s life wants to enter the world through us. Communion will be celebrated.

See you Sunday!

Peace and blessings!

-Jorge

P. S. January's Giving Sunday collection is for Abundant Grace Coastside Worker, helping the less fortunate on the coast. Their director and visionary, Eric DeBode, has been our guest preacher many times. Thanks for always being so generous with your gifts.

On the first Sunday of the month (the "Giving Sunday"), the whole plate goes to the designated nonprofit. Any other time during the month you can contribute by way of a check with the name of the nonprofit in the memo line.
