This Sunday
Join us on Zoom this Sunday at 10 am. Our guest preacher will be Deirdre Doyle, who will tell us about her high school trip to the South to learn about the history of civil rights. We'll also have a special Giving Sunday collection for Puente, a nonprofit that fosters wellness and prosperity on the San Mateo County south coast by promoting and advocating for equitable access to education, health, and economic security. Aug 6: Memorial for Lynne Shafsky
Please plan to join us at the church on Sat, Aug 6 at 1:30 pm. We'll celebrate the life of Lynne Shafsky, who died last year. From her obituary: “Lynne was committed to connecting with and helping people. She worked as a dental hygienist for 50 years, developing relationships with her patients. She was also a life-long social justice activist. Growing up, she accompanied her mother to bring food to migrant farmworkers. As a mother, she took her sons to UFW meetings. As a grandmother, she was active in political campaigns and supported social justice organizations.”
