News for January 23, 2024

This Sunday, Jan 28: In-person service at 10am

Our guest preacher this Sunday will be our own John Latham, talking about Dietrich Bonhoeffer and his approach to questions of freedom. John has spent many years studying Bonhoeffer and his writings, and we are the lucky beneficiaries. Bonhoeffer was a German Lutheran pastor and theologian, imprisoned by the Nazis for his resistance activities. He was hanged on April 9, 1945, a few months before the end of the war in Europe.

The Giving Sunday offering for January is for Abundant Grace Coastside Worker, helping the homeless on the coast. Their director and visionary, Eric Debode, has been our guest preacher many times. Including last Sunday.
