Remembering Jan Lamphier
Jan passed away unexpectedly last Tuesday morning. Her daughters, Diane and Susan, were with her in the hospital. Jan was a long-time member of College Heights, still very active in spite of her health issues, and we will miss her at every turn. The memorial service will be at 1:30 pm on Sat, Sep 10, just before the oldest grandchild heads off to college. Everyone is invited; Diane says “Can’t imagine [the service] without them.”

Changes at the UCC Conference office
Rev. Daniel Ross-Jones, one of our two Associate Conference Ministers, resigned recently to take a non-clergy position. Last week, Conference Minister Rev. Diane Weible announced that she will also be leaving at the end of this year. She is moving to be closer to her parents and her children, and will be working with a friend to grow her coaching business. Both Daniel and Diane have been guest preachers for us, and I’m sure we will have an opportunity to hear their replacements at some point. We thank them both for their faithful service to the Conference, and wish them Godspeed in their new endeavors.
